A film that makes you want to live

I've watched a lot of movies, and there are a lot of favorite ones, but I decided to write about a movie named ''The giver'' because it shows that you have to appreciate what you have, what life gives you, not the materialistic part of our life but emotions, like friendship, love etc.
The worst thing in there reality was that they couldn't feel anything. And without feelings life is not life for me. There is a quote that says ''It´s better to not feel anything then to feel pain " but I can´t agree with this words, because I think that there's no bad without good and no good without bad, there's no love without pain, and if you can´t feel sadness then you can´t feel happiness too, how can you appreciate life when you don't know what death is. So its really important to live with all the colors of life, of course there will be dark moments in life but there will be bright ones too. Life is colorful, and everyone should see those colors because without them life will be boring. And in the end, my title says how I feel about this movie, it really made me think further about life, about the colors that we often cant see the moment's, even the little ones that we don't appreciate. It made me want to live, and feel life as it is.

My dream job

There are no uninteresting or boring jobs in the world. In my opinion every job deserves respect. There are millions types of jobs and each of them are somehow important. For instance, if everybody decides to be a doctor, who will drive taxi, or bake bread, even clean the streets. Our life will turn into chaos.

In the other hand, it is a very important decision to decide what I would like to do or become. To choose a career and a job. In my childhood I was fond of many things, from cosmonaut to artist. I am seventeen, and still thinking of my future profession and it was difficult for me to make a decision. While growing I gave up most of my dream jobs and concentrated on one.  

 I think people are divided into four groups: Talented people, hard workers who aim to their dream job, people who want to be rich, and people who cannot decide for themselves.

I decided to become reach. That’s why I’ve chosen a financial analyst as a profession. They are smart and successful people, in my opinion, and I’ll work hard to reach my dream job.

Famous women of all times

Marie Curie (1867-1934)

Two-time Nobel laureate Marie Curie discovered polonium and radium, founded the concept of radiology and — above all — made the possibility of a scientific career seem within reach for countless girls and women around the world. The first woman to receive the Nobel Prize and the first female Professor of General Physics in the Faculty of Sciences at the Sorbonne in Paris, Curie was beloved by her colleagues for her calm, singular focus, lack of pretense and professional drive. Her work with radiation is now part of the most sophisticated cancer-treatment protocols in the world, though she herself succumbed to leukemia after decades of daily radiation exposure.

Coco Chanel (1883-1971)

Coco Chanel revolutionized women's fashion in the early 20th century by introducing a looser, more comfortable silhouette that freed women from the corsets and frills that then dominated the apparel industry. Born into poverty in Saumur, France, Chanel worked as a cabaret singer before opening a hat shop in 1910 with the financial backing of a lover. She soon turned her attention to clothing and became the first designer to create with jersey — a cheap fabric used in men's underwear at the time — and bring a menswear aesthetic to women's clothing. Chanel's tweed blazer and skirt, two-toned ballet flat, little black dress, costume jewelry and quilted bag with chain strap remain staples in the fashion pantheon, and contemporary labels introduce reiterations of them season after season.

Mother Teresa (1910-1997)

Her iconic white garb with its blue stripe trim is now equated with her ideals of service and charity among "the poorest of the poor." Born Agnes Bojaxhiu to Albanian parents living under the Ottoman Empire, the petite nun made her way to India in 1929, building her start-up missionary community of 13 members in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) into a global network of more than 4,000 sisters running orphanages and AIDS hospices. Sometimes criticized for lacking adequate medical training, not addressing poverty on a grander scale, actively opposing birth control and abortion and even cozying up to dictators, the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize nonetheless inspired countless volunteers to serve, and will wear her white habit all the way to Catholic sainthood.

Anna Wintour

The most-watched woman in fashion continues to command full attention. The annual Met Gala, which Wintour has hosted since 1999, is one of New York City's more successful fundraising efforts, having raised more than $145 million under her watch. Back at Condé Nast, it's been a year of highs and lows. The good news: Condé's digital audience hit a record best in the first quarter of 2015 and at the annual National Magazine Awards, Condé titles took home the most wins, including a Magazine of the Year award for Wintour's fashion bible, Vogue. 

Cleopatra (69 – 30 BC) The last Ptolemaic ruler of Egypt. Cleopatra sought to defend Egypt from the expanding Roman Empire. In doing so she formed relationships with two of Rome’s most powerful leaders Marc Anthony and Julius Caesar.

Anne Frank (1929 – 1945)

Dutch / Jewish author. Anne Frank’s diary is one of the most widely read books in the world. It reveals the thoughts of a young, yet surprisingly mature 13-year-old girl, confined to a secret hiding place. “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.”

Marilyn Monroe (1926 – 1962)

American actress who became one of the most iconic film legends. Her films were moderately successful, but her lasting fame came through her photogenic good looks and aura of glamour and sophistication.

 

Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997) British Royal princess who was noted for her humanitarian charity work. Despite troubled marriage to Prince Charles, she was popular for her natural sympathy with the poor and marginalised from society.

Malala Yousafzai (1997 – ) Pakistani schoolgirl who defied threats of the Taliban to campaign for the right to education. She survived being shot in the head by the Taliban and has become a global advocate for women’s rights, especially the right to education.

Joan of Arc (1412 – 1431)  The patron saint of France, Joan of Arc inspired a French revolt against the occupation of the English. An unlikely heroine; at the age of just 17, the diminutive Joan successfully led the French to victory at Orleans. Her later trial and martyrdom only heightened her mystique.

Requirements for the interview

For many, sitting in an interview is like a nightmare. They want to get the best job available, yet they get scared. However, an interview is nothing more than a mind game. It just requires a few right steps to make it. However, there are a few basic things that when done right, can lead to amazing opportunities. Here are 5 basic requirements for any interview.

1) Dressing well.Dressing well is a must but most people get it wrong. Wear a blazer if need be but don’t if not required. Same goes with wearing a tie. For some job interviews, wearing these things is called over dressing. But for some, it’s a must. So dress accordingly. Also, a simple crisp ironed shirt with formal wear and shoes is a nice combination for majority of posts in corporateworld.

2) Punctuality.

Your employer can delay an interview but you should never arrive too early or too late for an interview. Always arrive on time even if you have to get up extra early in the morning.

3) Research the company and position.

Thoroughly research the company position and the company before you apply for an interview. Apply only if you are the best candidate for the job. Otherwise you’ll be wasting the company and your time too.

4) Recall your past achievements.
Recall when you performed extraordinarily at your previous job and tell them when asked. If you are applying for your first job, recall if you performed any leadership role or managed an activity very well.

5) Presence of mind.

You need to have a strong presence of mind while answering the questions. Many times, unexpected questions arise and you can be puzzled too. At that time, having a strong presence of mind will help you steal the answers from your previous experiences.

Interesting facts and habits on travelling

In order to discuss all the interesting facts on travelling, first of all I would like to mention the benefits of it. Many people are concerned on what they should do for a vacation. I believe it’s very important to see the world and different cultures. It lets us open our minds to new things and we get to experience life in different ways.

Traveling increases our knowledge. To view new customs, different ways of living is fantastic for the mind. It gives us a new perspective about life, it can help us change some of our habits or even create new ones.  One also need to visit exotic new places and discover what this wonderful world has to offer.

When traveling with friends or family it creates memories for a lifetime. These memories will create a bond that nothing can erase no matter what happens. It also gives nice stories to tell to people, you can create photo albums about your trips and when you feel nostalgic you can take an hour of your life and experience the trips again by looking at your pictures. 

Traveling gives us the opportunity to escape from our regular life (even for short time). Everyone can forget problems/issues for a few weeks. Like the saying says: we never know what we have until we lose it.

Another great benefit is the relaxation. It’s nice to live life to its fullest and enjoy a stress free time with yourself. Going on vacation for me is like a  recharge our “batteries” by disconnecting us from our regular life.

New experiences  by living situations you would never encounter at home, this is great experience for anyone when coming back to your routine. I believe that people who traveled a lot in life were ready to embrace change and have an ability of overcoming problems.

Sometimes it can be cheap to travel. With the internet and all the new technology, anyone can plan a trip. You can choose your budget, the duration of the trip and what you want to do. I like to read travel blogs and see what others are experiencing.

At last, when you come back you won’t be sorry that you left, on the contrary you will be thinking of your next trip the second you come back from the airport.

Lots of people love dancing. It’s not surprising because dancing is a way of expression. This body 
language is peculiar form of art. There are many dance contests nowadays where children and adults reveal their dancing abilities. I like watching such contests no matter what style of dance they present. The history of dances is rather long and interesting. People started to dance at prehistoric times. They danced during certain ceremonies, rituals and celebrations to praise their gods. There are numerous archeological proves for this fact. For example, ancient Egyptians depicted the figures of dancing people on tombs. These pictures survived to the present day, although they refer to 3000 BC. Native Americans were also fond of dancing. They simply couldn’t imagine their lives without dancing. They danced to welcome each season, to thank gods for harvest, to express joy and grief, to denote the start of fight or hunt, etc. Today dance also remains an important part of human culture. A lot of people are still fond of dancing. The good thing is that modern music has a great number of styles, so people can choose what they like. Most teenagers like dancing to disco music, others prefer rock and pop. People dance to express their emotions, to relieve stress, to keep fit and healthy, to feel the rhythm, and simply to have fun.

My favorite artist

John Christopher  "Johnny " Depp II born in June 9 1963, is an American actor, producer, and musician.Depp was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, the youngest of four children of Betty Sue Palmer (née Wells), a waitress, and John Christopher Depp, a civil engineer. Depp moved frequently during his childhood. He and his siblings lived in more than 20 different places, eventually settling in Miramar, Florida in 1970. In 1978, when he was 15, Depp's parents divorced.

My favorite artist is Johnny Depp, and I can write some reasons why :)

I think he is a great actor, and an interesting person. I like mostly every movie where he acts. He is kind of a rock star, he plays on a guitar, gives concerts so he can be called a musician too. What else can I say, his character is original and unique.

Me and my "friends"

As we grow up we listen about the importance of friendship and friend. I think that friendship is when people want to be together when they are interested in each other, trust each other. True friends support each other, not only emotionally, but also by other means available to them, and this support is always disinterested, comes from the soul.
But as a child I discovered for myself that real friend for me are my sisters and relatives, so my friends are my sisters. But of course I believe in the existence of friendship between people who are not relatives, sometimes they can be really close to you by their ideology or habits.
And for the end I would like to say that it doesn't really mater are you the same age as your friend or the same gender the only thing that matters is how you feel about that person.

What is happiness for me

What is happiness, everyone understands it in their own way. For me, happiness - is to see my friends and relatives happy. I can say that happiness for me is that I have a great family, understanding and loving parents, friends who always support and help me. And of course, the fact that I live in a country where there is no war. For someone, happiness is being with your loved ones, and for another - to be loved. Of course, people of different ages, and notions have different point of view. Children need care and their parents love to be happy. Versions of their whims. From the purchase of any desired gadgets, and we can see that the child is happy. For teens, happiness is love, friendship, family well-being. Every child in that age would like to be loved and understood. It's not important to be in love, the feeling that you are loved by someone who is ready to do everything for you is maybe more important. And of course every child wants to have normal relationships with their family, and have fun. For adults happiness is finding true love, then getting married and having children. For aged people happiness is to live the rest of their lives in peace. It is really important for them to know that their children and grandchildren are happy and healthy.

Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Babylonian kingdom flourished under the rule of the famous King, Hammurabi (1792-1750 BC). It was not until the reign of Naboplshar (625-605 BC) of the Neo-Babylonian dynasty that the Mesopotamian civilization reached its ultimate glory. His son, Nebuchadnezzar II (604-562 BC) is credited for building the legendary Hanging Gardens. It is said that the Gardens were built by Nebuchadnezzar to please his wife or concubine who had been “brought up in Media and had a passion for mountain surroundings”.
While the most descriptive accounts of the Gardens come from Greek historians such as Berossus and Diodorus Siculus, Babylonian records stay silent on the matter. Tablets from the time of Nebuchadnezzar do not have a single reference to the Hanging Gardens, although descriptions of his place, the city of Babylon, and the walls are found. Even the historians who give detailed descriptions of the Hanging Gardens never saw them. Modern historians argue that when Alexander’s soldiers reached the fertile land of Mesopotamia and saw Babylon, they were impressed. When they later returned to their rugged homeland, they had stories to tell about the amazing gardens and palm trees at Mesopotamia, about the palace of Nebuchadnezzar, about the Tower of Babel and the ziggurats… And it was the imagination of poets and ancient historians that blended all these elements together to produce one of the World Wonders.
It wasn’t until the 20th century that some of the mysteries surrounding the Hanging Gardens were revealed. Archeologists are still struggling to gather enough evidence before reaching the final conclusions about the location of the Gardens, their irrigation system, and their true appearance. Some recent researchers even suggest that the Hanging Gardens were built by Senaherib, not by Nebuchadnezzar II, almost 100 years earlier.
Detailed descriptions of the Gardens come from ancient Greek sources, including the writings of Strabo and Philo of Byzantium. Here are some excerpts from their accounts: “The Garden is quadrangular, and each side is four plethra long. It consists of arched vaults which are located on checkered cube-like foundations. The ascent of the uppermost terrace-roofs is made by a stairway…”
“The Hanging Garden has plants cultivated above ground level, and the roots of the trees are embedded in an upper terrace rather than in the earth. The whole mass is supported on stone columns… Streams of water emerging from elevated sources flow down sloping channels… These waters irrigate the whole garden saturating the roots of plants and keeping the whole area moist.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

Contrary to the common belief, only the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), not all three Great Pyramids, is on top of the list of Wonders. The monument was built by the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty around the year 2560 BC to serve as a tomb when he dies. The tradition of pyramid building started in Ancient Egypt as a sophistication of the idea of a mastaba or “platform” covering the Royal tomb. Later, several stacked mastabas were used. Early pyramids, such as the Step Pyramid of King Zoser (Djoser) at Saqqara by the famous Egyptian architect, Imhotep, illustrate this connection. 

The Great Pyramid is believed to have been built over a 20 year period. The site was first prepared, and blocks of stone were transported and placed. An outer casing (which disappeared over the years) was then used to smooth the surface. Although it is known how the blocks were put in place , several theories have been proposed. One theory involves the construction of a straight or spiral ramp that was raised as the construction proceeded. This ramp, coated with mud and water, eased the displacement of the blocks which were pushed (or pulled) into place. A second theory suggests that the blocks were placed using long levers with a short angled foot. 

Throughout their history, the pyramids of Giza have stimulated human imagination. They were referred to as “The Granaries of Joseph” and “The Mountains of Pharaoh”. When Napoleon invaded Egypt in 1798, his pride was expressed through his famous quote: “Soldiers! From the top of this Pyramids, 40 centuries are looking at us”.  

Today, the Great Pyramid is enclosed, together with the other pyramids and the Sphinx, in the tourist region of the Giza Plateau. Also in the area there is the museum housing the mysterious Sun Boat, only discovered in 1954 near the south side of the pyramid. The boat is believed to have been used to carry the body of Khufu in his last journey on earth before being buried inside the pyramid. It may also serve him as a means of transportation in his afterlife journey according to Ancient Egyptian beliefs. 

When it was built, the Great Pyramid was 145.75 m (481 ft) high. Over the years, it lost 10 m (30 ft) off its top. It ranked as the tallest structure on Earth for more than 43 centuries, only to be surpassed in height in the 19th century AD. It was covered with a casing of stones to smooth its surface (some of the casing can still be seen near the top of Khefre’s pyramid). The sloping angle of its sides is 51 degrees and 51 minutes. Each side is carefully oriented with one of the cardinal points of the compass, that is, north, south east and west. The horizontal cross section of the pyramid is square at any level, with each side measuring 229 m (751 ft) in length. The maximum error between side lengths is astonishingly less than 0.1%. 

The structure consists of approximately 2 million blocks of stone, each weighing more than two tons.

The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb over a 10 to 20-year period concluding around 2560 BC. Initially at 481 feet), the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Originally, the Great Pyramid was covered by casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface; what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There have been varying scientific and alternative theories about the Great Pyramid construction techniques. Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry.
